Please always be considerate to others when using the 4 acres of natural grounds which include unfenced wildlife ponds, wildflower meadow and newly planted woodland with seating areas and mown paths.
Be aware that dangers and hazards exist as the grounds are a natural environment, being managed to encourage wildlife, conservation, and biodiversity.
Please be aware of the risks and follow the advice below: –
- There is deep water and other risks on site therefore parents should never leave children unattended or unsupervised when they are on site or in the grounds.
- Please wear appropriate footwear when walking or using the Some parts are quite steep and can be slippery when wet or icy.
- Please always keep to the mown areas and foot paths only.
- Do not drop litter, please take it away with you and place in the bins.
- Please be aware that the surface is not always level and hidden hollows, and holes can occur within the grounds due to moles, rabbits, other wildlife, and natural occurrences. Please take appropriate and special care when using these areas.
- Please do not climb over any hedges, fences, or barriers.
- Be aware that some of the larger trees can drop branches unexpectedly. Do not stand or walk directly below them.
- Please always keep dogs on leads and pick up your dog’s waste and place in the bins provided.
- Please do not allow dogs to chase birds or wildlife or enter the water in any of the ponds.
- No fishing or swimming or paddling is permitted in any of the wildlife ponds.
- Do not fly kites or other objects anywhere on site or within the grounds as there are high-capacity overhead electricity power cables on site.
- Please do not stand on the benches, seats, or tables.
