Everyone staying at Greetham Retreat CL must comply with the below site rules. Failure to comply with the rules may lead to you being asked to leave.
Members Only: Greetham Retreat CL touring caravan site is exclusively for the use of Caravan and Motorhome Club (formally the Caravan Club) members only.
Capacity & Length of Stay: A maximum of five caravans can stay for recreational and short stay use only, for periods not exceeding 28 consecutive days on any single visit.
Arrival Times: Please arrive after 12 noon unless another arrival time has been previously agreed with the owners and please show your Caravan and Motorhome Club membership card if requested.
Payment of Pitch Fees: A deposit payment will be required to confirm advanced pitch bookings. Balance payments will normally be required in full 2 weeks prior to your arrival. The Pitch fee includes all services and use of electricity via a 16amp hook up for your caravan or motorhome only. An additional fee is required for the charging electric vehicles on site. (See below for more info)
Conditions of Use: Use of a site is conditional upon compliance with all rules, guidance notices and instructions of the Owners. All site users and guests must conduct themselves with due regard to the health and safety of themselves and others. Any person in breach of any of these rules may be asked to leave the site by the Owners and no refund will be given.
Parking & Driving on Grass: Please do not drive or park your towing vehicle on the grass, please park on the hard standing only.
Speed Limits: Motor vehicles and bicycles on site should, only be used with due regard to the safety and convenience of others and their speed should not exceed walking pace (i.e., dead slow or less than 5mph). Only a person in possession of a full current driving licence and motor insurance may drive a motor vehicle on the site.
Behaviour: Please respect the owner’s and fellow guest’s privacy and follow the Caravan and Country Codes. Musical instruments, radios and televisions etc. should not be used to the inconvenience of other people on the site. Site users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which respects the comfort and convenience of other site users.
Children: Please ensure they are always supervised. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure children are supervised whilst on site. Be warned that unfenced ponds with deep water are located within the grounds; they are not to be entered by anyone.
Dogs: Maximum of 4 dogs/pets per pitch. Please be a responsible dog owner. Always keep your dog on a lead and please clear up after them. No animals are allowed in the toilet/shower room or laundry room areas, other than guide/assistance dogs. Dogs are prohibited from entering ponds on site to protect the wildlife.
Ball & Other Games: The site is intended for the quiet enjoyment of the countryside and wildlife conservation, so ball and other outdoor games are NOT permitted. Kites and other similar flying devices are prohibited, due to the dangers of high voltage overhead electricity cables on site.
Additional Visitors: Please notify the owners if you wish to entertain visitors. The owners reserve the right to refuse such requests.
Smoking: No Smoking is allowed within the caravan site toilet, shower room, laundry room or any of the buildings. Please do not discard or throw cigarettes ends on the ground or floor. Please dispose of them properly.
Waste Disposal: Waste grey water containers should not be allowed to overflow but may be emptied in the nearby hedge bottom. The contents of chemical toilets must always be disposed of by emptying at the disposal point provided. Disposable nappies and similar bulky items must not be emptied into chemical closet emptying points but must be wrapped in a bag and placed in a general rubbish bin. All rubbish should be recycled and placed in the appropriately marked bins provided. Users of medical equipment, including hypodermic needles are the user’s responsibility for providing a safe means of disposal and removal off site; they must not be placed in the waste bins.
Charging of Electric Motor Vehicles: Is prohibited on site without the permission of the owners. If the owners authorise such charging, they will require an additional £5 fee to be paid per charge.
Fires & Barbecues: Fires must not be lit on the site. Barbecues are permitted within the caravan site only, but users should endeavour to minimise smoke and fumes and any annoyance to neighbours. All barbecues must be raised sufficiently off the ground to minimise the risk of fire and to avoid any damage to grass areas. You may also use the purpose-built brick BBQ next to the chess board on site.
Vacation of Pitches: Pitches are normally to be vacated prior to 12 noon unless previously agreed with the owners.
Main Gates: Please close the main gates behind you when arriving or leaving Greetham Retreat during your stay. Close Circuit Television (CCTV) covers the entrance driveway and gates. This is for our own use to monitor arrivals and help increase safety and security on site.
Generators: Not allowed without the owner’s permission.
